Papa Roach - Who Do You Trust? / Renegade On October 4th, 2018, Nu-Metal band, Papa Roach released a new music video for their song, "Who Do You Trust" and a day later released another song, ' Renegade ' . As someone who got their start in the rock and metal genre, I am absolutely excited for these two new songs. Papa Roach's early albums like 'Infest', 'Lovehatetragedy' and 'Getting Away With Murder' will always hold a special place in my start. 'Who Do You Trust' is my favorite of the two and absolutely kicks ass but 'Renegade' is still an amazing tune and any long term 'Roach' fan is surely to be not disappointed.

Devour The Day - Faithless It's time for Devour the Day to release some new music. This new song, Faithless. In my music opinion, is far better than the previously released, The Censor (which is saying a lot because I loved 'The Censor' too. The vocals in Faithless one are far more turned up and the lyrics have a harder affect on my soul. I'm really loving the bass so hats off to Joey Walser for the badass performance. I'm excited to see what else the album, 'Signals' has to offer. I have yet to be disappointed even remotely in a Devour the Day album. Time & Pressure and S.O.A.R. are both great albums that dig deep into your human self and expose it at the seams. At least, that's what they did to me. 'Faithless' Rating Vocals - 7/10 Bass - 9/10 Drums 7/10 Lyrics 9/10 Overall Rating 8/10

The passing of lead (clean) vocalist of the band We Came As Romans is a very sad occurrence. I remember waking up on a Saturday morning to this news and much like the days I found out Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington had fallen victim to suicide, it was unreal and took hours for me to realize that one of my favorite bands had a lost a key piece to them. Unlike Chris and Chester, Kyle passed away because of a overdose on the drug, Heroin. In all three cases they could have been prevented, each of these lives saved. The existence of drug abuse and mental disease is very real in our music community, especially as a rock and metal group. It's a tragedy when those that help keep us together, pass on from the very things they sing about. Rest in peace Kyle, wherever your soul may be I hope you have found peace.

I thought I'd start out this blog's first review with the newest Papa Roach album, " Crooked Teeth " . The band's ninth studio album, including the lesser known "Old Friends From Young Years". Although there is a certain rap mix into this album it is done in good taste. Mixing a newer styling into a very similar feel that the band gave us with their " Getting Away With Murder " album. My personal favorites off of this album are " Help", "Sunrise Trailer Park (FEAT. Machine Gun Kelly)", "Ricochet", and "Traumatic" . The band has come a long way, each member battling their own issues as we all do. They find a way to take their struggles and put them into words and beats that make you able to connect to them, feel what they feel, understand the vibe that they are intending to give us. Their music has always empowered people, the kind of chest pounding headbanging music that lovers of the Rock and Met...

Hello fellow Rockers and Metalheads! Whether you're old age rock and metal or you're new age, we can all agree that metal and rock are the best genres of music. Don't get me wrong, I like other genres but metal and rock music are my lifeblood, they drive me and made me who I am today. I am a young adult living in rural Minnesota. I have always listened to rock since a young age. I started off with "Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven, "Scars" by Papa Roach, and "The Pot" by Tool along with many others being played around that time. Entering high school this music became my escape from the harsh life of an insecure teenage wasteland. Metal and rock have influenced my life in many ways. It's with this blog that I will share my passion for this genre, the best genre of them all. I'll be posting reviews on albums as I grow my collection, thoughts on recent events within the rock and metal community, and anything really relating to this genr...
